Cooking with a bad back.
I seem to have taken more rest days lately than I have hill days, whether that be due to bad conditions or my body needing time to recover. Today was a recovery day, 2 fold. It’s been a while since we got some nice snow, so when some fresh stuff fell sunday it made yesterday quite a nice powder morning, which almost just as quickly got ruined for me by a migraine - I couldn’t have been further away from home/dark/silence if i tried. Riding down a mountain with most my vision gone proved interesting to say the least. Added to that is a bad back which I’m currently trying to deal with, forcing me in to another down day today.
A tender head and a bad back leave limited things to do here, but it was too much of a nice day to be inside resting, so I went for a walk with my housemate Helen, who’s recovering from a torn ACL, to the village via Lost Lake. Which remained lost. The only way to get there was via cross country skiing, apparently.
This afternoon was spent cooking, adding cottage pie to my arsenal.
